Castrol Hysol RD is a semi-synthetic metalworking fluid for steel grinding and machining. It contains a unique additive package that works in synergy to enhance machining performance and surface finish, provide excellent product stability, improve bio-resistance properties and lower the overall operations costs.
Hysol RD is especially designed for machining of cast iron and low-medium alloyed steel.
Recommended Concentrations
General Machining: 5-7%
Grinding: 4-6%
Drilling: 6-8%
Refractometer factor: 1.1
Water hardness compatibility: 100-400 ppm CaCO₃ (5-20 °dH)
